Time between steps in flow

Hello Support,

I am working on a flow where a user will be assigned a task. The user will also be assigned the following task. I believe that in this case the user would see a screen flow, where when clicking submit on the first task the second task would be shown. I would like to insert some period of time and assign a separate task for the second step. My thought is to assign an intermediate step to some user account that is not a real person. Then set the escalation on that intermediate step to the desired time out period say an hour or day, to skip the step. 

Will this work, or is there a recommended method to achieve this functionality?
