BUG: QBO doesn't sync negative stock to WooCommerce
I'm experiencing a critical issue with the integration between WooCommerce and QuickBooks Online (QBO) concerning negative stock levels. WooCommerce supports negative stock quantities to handle backorders and preorders effectively. When a product's stock level drops below zero (e.g., '-1'), it syncs to QBO correctly, reflecting the negative stock.
However, when QBO syncs back to WooCommerce, the negative stock level is reset to zero instead of retaining its negative value. This behavior disrupts our inventory management and affects our ability to process backorders and preorders accurately.
Upon contacting support, I was informed that this is expected behavior—that QBO does not sync negative stock levels back to WooCommerce and defaults them to zero. This response is concerning, as it undermines the functionality of negative stock management, which is essential for our operations.
This is a snippet from the chat transcript:
With regards to negative stocks, this is expected and we don't sync negative stocks to WooCommerce. Very sorry for the news.
if we receive a negative stock from QB, this will sync as 0 to WooCommerce.
Please investigate this issue. If this behavior is by design, I strongly suggest reconsidering it, as it adversely affects businesses that depend on accurate negative stock management between WooCommerce and QBO.
